Volunteer Parent Hours

Each family is required to put in 35 hours of volunteer service per year. $20.00 per hour will be charged for any unearned hours.

Ways to Earn "Hours"

• Chaperone: 25 hours per weekend trip; local races are credited per hour worked.
• Race Host: 25 hours per weekend trip; local races are credited per hour worked.
• Board Members: 25 hours for the year
• Committee Chairs: 20 hours for the year

Other Ways to Earn "Hours"

The jobs listed below are credited per hour worked.

• Set up, serving, clean up for a crew lunch
• Helping at local regattas (set-up, runners, parking, etc.)
• Assisting with Ergathon or other fundraisers
• Traveling with coach as he transports the boats (road trip)
• Lake Duty
• Food donation for regattas only; up to 5 hours earned dependent on money spent
• Mandatory parent meetings
• Other misc. jobs as they arise throughout the year, check the website

Please Note

• Donation of food for any reason other than regattas will not be translated into earned hours.

Reporting of Hours

It is the family's responsibility to submit earned hours, as the Volunteer Coordinator only tracks them when sent by the family. All hours must be submitted to the Volunteer Coordinator by May 15, 2009. Hours should be reported on a monthly basis. The volunteer Coordinator will send out statements twice a year.
