Congratulations to one of our senior rowers, Sarah Currier, and one of our senior coxswains, Devin Howard, who have both been named Commended Students in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2009 competition. Way to go girls...we are very proud of you!!

Thank you to the Mays family and everyone at Friendly Pines Camp in Prescott for hosting our Varsity Team Retreat on September 20 & 21. Our Varsity girls enjoyed a great retreat of fun team building in the cool pines.

State and Regional Championships
Xavier Prep Crew ended the 2007-2008 year as Champions!
With strong performances in every boat, the Xavier Prep Crew Team swept to the Arizona State Junior Rowing Championships held May 3rd at Tempe Town Lake. They followed this with a strong showing at the Southwest Junior Regionals Championships in Sacramento. All boats performed well, but particularly the Freshmen 8 who took Gold, and the Freshman 4 who took Bronze. Congratulations Team! We look forward to even better things in 2008-2009.
