Xavier Prep Crew News

 
Dear Xavier Prep Crew,

As you may know by now, Tempe Town Lake experienced a blowout at the west dam which caused the lake to empty. The City has closed the lake to all activity and is working to get the dam fixed. Early estimates put the repair at 90 days which is roughly November 1st. More importantly is what we do as a club going forward. Although this is not the optimum situation, we see it is a positive and an opportunity to address those areas that need to be improved. The coaching staff is committed to making the most out of the next few months "off the water." I know what some of you are thinking: 6k's and Lake Loops everyday. While that might happen from time to time, we are going to work hard to keep the workouts engaging and creative. This piece of adversity will only make us stronger and better as a crew as long as we stay focused on the big picture which is athletic improvement.

I will be happy to answer any questions you might have. I will also keep you updated with any information as soon as I get it. In the meantime, enjoy the rest of your summer and stay positive. GO GATORS!!
